Step 5. The frames' rectangular hornblock cutaways can now be cut out, then the chassis assembled as normal and the hornblock assemblies fitted.

Short handrail knobs, soldered into the frames are most commonly used to carry the wires and these are located in holes previously marked and drilled using the CSB jig.

​

Guitar strings can be used for CSB spring wire, typically around 0.4mm diameter, although the exact thickness will depend on the weight of your loco. The wires are slotted through the anchors and carrier tags.

If you've followed the procedure correctly, the chassis will sit at the correct height. The Jig allows for 0.5mm of deflection due to the weight of the loco.
