These gearsets provide smooth, realistic performance for our PaceMaker etches, which are purchased separately. They're available in three reduction ratios - 27:1 for normal main-line running, 36:1 for enhanced low-speed performance and 48:1 for ultra-slow running.
 
A single powered unit, suitably weighted, should be sufficient for a two-car set-up. For three-plus cars, or for use on layouts with very tight bends and/or steep gradients, we suggest a second powered car.
