This shortened version of the BR1 type tender chassis kit is suitable for British Railways tenders of the BR2 and BR2A types, which had a wheelbase of 6ft 6ins + 6ft 6ins. This covers the majority of BR Standard Class 4MT 4-6-0s and 2-6-0s and also the Class 3 Moguls in the 77000 series. 
 
High Level ‘CSB’ components are included, with the unobtrusive suspension system being an integral part of the kit design, resulting in optimum performance and requiring minimal effort to install.
 
Cosmetically, models can be elevated to the next level, using the various detail etches and castings to represent all the oily bits under the footplate. The distinctive frame stretchers, clearly visible through the frames on the real thing, are also included. 
 
As well as the Bachmann model, the kit fits most flat-bottomed tender bodies and we’ve included details for fitting to popular DJH kit in the instructions.
